Connecting a Electrolysis system
There are two ways an electrolysis system can be wired up. The traditional way is to power it from the pump’s power contact so that it is only turned on when the pump is running. Some however have a flow sensor on the cell that allow them to be independantly powered and they will top working when there is no flow.
In both cases, the easy way to gain control of your electrolysis from BoPi is simply to take the Lead wire powering it and wire it to one of BoPi’s relay and then to the electrolysis. This way you ensure that it won’t ever be powered without the pump (or flow if its that kind of cell) but also be able to keep it off if you wish (winter season for example or other maintenance).
If you wish to simply power the electrolysis from a breaker, you can wire it with the lead wire going to BoPi first and the elextrolysis after and BoPi’s OS will allow you to make it dependant on the pump. so you get the same effect as long a BoPi has pump control.
