Where to mount the sensors

The precise mounting location of the sensors depends on how your plumbing is done and what space you have avaliable.

The Temperature sensor(s)

They can be mounted just about anywhere on the plumbing, it doesn’t really matter if they are before or after the pump nor does the orientation matter as they are dry sensor held in a stainless holder that protects it. Keep in mind it will measure where it is so if its after the heat pump, it will measure the heated water but not the pool’s real temperature. Both temperature sensors can be installed on the plumbing to measure before and after heating if so desired.

The pH probe

It must be mounted vertically with the wire at the top and should be mounted after the pump and filter so as to not catch dirt or leaves that would impair it ability to measure the water’s pH level.

The ORP/Redox probe

Same as the pH probe, it must be mounted vertically with the wire at the top and should be mounted after the filter and pump. Additionnaly, if both the pH and ORP probe are present, it is recommended to leave at least 20cm between them if possible.
