Order of operations

There is no specific order in which you should install BoPi but because you may wonder the recommended one, here is our recommeded order of operations to install BoPi Basic.

Step 1 : Read this guide

There are many informations in this guide that will help you doing a successful and simple installation.

Step 2 : Gather tools and wire

You will need a few tools to mount BoPi Basic to the wall and do a proper and complete installation. We have a list in this guide

Step 3 : Mount BoPi Basic to the wall

Mounting BoPi Basic to the wall is relatively easy but it does require a few tools and picking a proper position. Once its properly secured, it will make it easier to do the wiring and plug in the necessary sensors.

Step 4 : Power

Bring power to BoPi Basic, turn it on and connect to it through the app. you won’t be able to do many things but from the settings, you can test each relay (and hear a clic). If present, you can also try out the peristaltic pumps to make sure it all works.

Step 5 : Wire the pump and other devices

Time to get serious, wire the pump control to BoPi Basic as well as the pool lights and any other device you may have. Kill the power to everything before doing wiring and turn it back on after each device to test it. You could do it all at once if you have experience but its easy and quick to confirm at each step.

Step 6 : Temperature sensor

Installing the temprature sensor and pluging it into BoPi Basic.

Step 7 : Configure BoPi Basic.

You could do this step partly along the way with each device added or do it all at once in the end. In anycase, configuration is an essential step and the final one before enjoying your pool with remote control.
