Where to mount the sensors

The precise mounting location of the sensors depends on how your plumbing is done and what space you have avaliable.

The Temperature sensor

It can be mounted just about anywhere on the plumbing, it doesn’t really matter if they are before or after the pump nor does the orientation matter as they are dry sensor held in a stainless holder that protects it. Keep in mind it will measure where it is so if its after the heat pump, it will measure the heated water but not the pool’s real temperature.
